How Layenet Works
Layenet is a purpose-built ecosystem for 3D animators, MMD creators, and digital artists.
Whether you are here to showcase your latest 4K 60FPS render, share motion data, or discover new creators, here is everything you need to know about how our platform operates.
Discovery Without Surveillance
Because Layenet operates on a strict Privacy-by-Design philosophy, we do not build invasive psychological profiles to feed you content.
Instead, discovery on Layenet is driven purely by community engagement, transparent metadata, and clear categorization. Our homepage feed is populated through a combination of your direct Subscriptions, trending tags (like #Vocaloid or #MotionDL), and chronological performance. You are in total control of what you see.
The Creator Studio
When you click "+ Create", you enter the Layenet Studio. Here, you can upload your renders in pristine quality. We specifically allocate our bandwidth to support the high bitrates required for complex 3D particle effects and 60FPS motion.
Upload Tiers & Verification
To protect our high-bandwidth infrastructure from automated spam, unverified accounts are limited to 5 video uploads per day. If you are an active animator needing higher throughput, you can instantly lift this cap by opting into our Verified Creator program via email authentication.
Respecting the Asset Ecosystem
MMD and 3D animation thrive on collaboration. Models, stages, camera data, and effects (MME) are often crafted by dozens of different artists around the world.
- 1.Rich Metadata: Layenet's description boxes are heavily optimized for external linking. Creators are strongly encouraged to link to original Bowlroll, NicoNico, or GitHub distribution pages to credit asset authors properly.
- 2.Transformative Safe Harbor: While we mandate respect for community Readmes and TOS rules, Layenet's copyright framework structurally defends transformative art. Your heavily edited models and meticulously rendered dance covers are safe from malicious automated takedowns.
- 3.Tagging "DL"s: Using categories like "Motion DL" or "Camera DL" helps other animators find your work, turning Layenet into a searchable archive of the community's best assets.
